A beautifully aged full-size (4/4) violin with rich amber - brown varnish and a striking one - piece flamed maple back. Inside, the violin bears a handwritten paper label reading “Francesco Ruggeri… in Cremona anno 167_” — a well-known tribute/trade label commonly found on quality European workshop violins from the late 19th - early 20th century (not a claim of authenticity to the 17th-century Cremonese master).
