The D5400 LB double bass microphone is designed for close miking in loud live performances and delivers the true sound of the instrument with an extreme accuracy and fast transient response that captures the finest and most delicate overtones of the instrument.

The sound response of the LB models is true to the instrument due to high ambient suppression in comparison to the Studio models, which inherently pick up the room reverberation. LB models should be sound shaped using reverberation engines.

Typical use is Folk-rock, Pop, Rock and Metal performances where high gain before feedback is needed with high suppression of neighbour instruments and ambient noise.

D5400 LB features a non intrusive rubber mount with acoustic foam and allows a fixed and well defined location on the instrument, making it easy to reproduce a consistent mounting.

This D5400 LB is designed for double basses with 80 mm space underneath the tip of the fingerboard.

Since there are no clamps and clips in order to mount and hold the microphone, you will retain the aesthetic appearance of your instrument as well as doing no harm to valuable instruments.

  • Ultra small formfactor
  • Free height under the fingerboard tip 80 mm
  • Omni-spherical suppression
  • Sensitivity -44 dB
  • Max SPL 110 dB
  • Runs on 48V Phantom Power
