This Custom Shop Stratocaster takes you back to the 1950s, when the Two Color Sunburst, a single-ply pickguard, and a maple fingerboard adorned the Strat.

From 1995 through 1999, Vince Cunetto was at the helm of the Relic division, assisted by John Cruz. The vintage specifications and superior build quality ensure that these Cunettos are among the very best instruments Fender has ever made. On the back of the headstock, for easy identification, we find the embossed Fender Custom Shop logo that characterizes guitars from this period.

Furthermore, the Fender Custom Shop logo with an additional Relic designation can be found on both the body and neck, and the body bears the date stamp of November 4, 1998. The name John Cruz can also be found on the neck; as mentioned earlier, he played an important role at the Fender Custom Shop during this period, together with Vince Cunetto.

This 1999 Stratocaster is in excellent condition and is without a doubt a guitar of absolute top quality. The Sunburst finish has been beautifully aged and forms a stunning combination with the flamed neck and gold-colored hardware; what a fantastic guitar!
