Overview

Gibson's baseline student model, the Les Paul Junior, changed body shape in 1958 with the 3/4-scale version following suit in 1959. These short-scale instruments were only available in a Cherry finish and feature a mahogany body and beck, rosewood fretboard, and 22.75" scale for smaller players. Undamaged examples with vibrant cherry finishes are still quite valuable to Gibson collectors.
