History of the Revelation:
In the early 1990s, Hohner set out to establish a Custom Shop in the UK with the goal of developing a high-end superstrat to compete with major American brands dominating the market at the time. To lead this ambitious project, known as the "Revelation Project," they enlisted Alan Entwistle and Trevor Wilkinson, two renowned guitar experts.The result was a masterpiece—a guitar that was lightweight, well-balanced, and extremely ergonomic, offering exceptional playability and effortless access to all frets. It plays like a dream and sounds phenomenal, thanks to its exclusive ATN circuit (a passive system that requires no battery) and ATX Lamcore pickups, designed by British pickup guru Alan Entwistle, making it an incredibly versatile instrument. Further enhancing its performance, the guitar featured a Wilkinson-designed VS100 bridge, a roller nut, and Schaller tuners, ensuring outstanding tuning stability. Despite its quality, the Revelation guitar faced a major challenge: pricing. Manufactured in Europe, it was only $100 cheaper than an American Fender Strat in 1992, making it a tough sell. As a result, the Revelation Project and the UK Custom Shop were short-lived. Over the years, Hohner released several reissues with slight design variations, though these were manufactured in the Far East using generic pickups and hardware, lacking the original premium components.

Finally, in 2010, Alan Entwistle acquired the rights to the beloved "Revelation" name and launched his own Revelation Guitars brand, producing affordable, quality instruments based on his designs—also manufactured in the Far East.

About this guitar:
This guitar is from the first original 90's series not a reissue. it's very light (2,7Kg) and ergonomic with full access to the 24th fret. The guitar is in great condition with only very light signs. The only notable flaws are finish craks documented in the last photos. Also visible in the photos are some cracks in the pickguard. These early Revelation guitars featured an acrylic pickguard instead of plastic, making them more prone to cracking easily.

The neck and fingerboard are in great condition, and the frets show almost no wear. The hardware is also in great condition , the tremolo bar is not in the photos but is is included and will ship with the guitar.
Like all our guitars it has been cleaned, polished, fully checked and set up, no gigbag or case included. Of course although the set up is fine, everyone has their own preferences and specs. just like with any guitar if your not happy with the way it is set up, it will be your responsibility to have it set up to your liking...
