Up for sale is an authentic, original vintage 1960s Fender shield-shaped neck plate in very good vintage condition. 4-bolt chrome plate with Fender logo, stamped with a clear 5-digit serial number: 04838.Dating to circa 1966-1967, this original part was used on Fender’s "California Series" line of acoustic guitars featuring bolt-on necks. If you are working on a vintage restoration project to bring a golden-era Fender acoustic back to factory specifications, this is the exact, hard-to-find piece you need.Correct for the following Fender 1960s Acoustic Models:
- Malibu
- Newporter
- Kingman / King
- Palomino / Redondo
- Fender Shenandoah (12-String)
Condition:
Good vintage condition with normal age-appropriate wear. The chrome finish displays a nice, natural patina with some scratch marks and a little oxidation and the logo and serial digits remain completely sharp, deep, and legible. No warping etc.
