On the other hand, peacocks are birds of the pheasant family which contrary to popular belief don’t actually have blue pigment, bur rather their feathers look blue because microscopic structures bend and scatter light.

How are these two facts related? Because like peacock feathers, an optical envelope filter creates tone through interaction, not pigment or EQ, but light shaping perception via physical structure. Didn’t see that one coming, did you, cowboy?

Here’s the OG Carl Martin Classic Optical Envelope, not to be confused with the more recent version with a stupid name. It’s been well played and is missing two screws, but I bought it that way so I assume it’s a mod to improve the tone. Is that such a crazy thing to think these days?
