This is the sale I'd never think I'd have to make, it's my favourite microphone. It's been serviced by Xaudia, including re-ribboning, the yoke and screws aren't original, the rest is all original. The black paint can be scrapped to reveal the original umber gray finish, I chose not to because I like how it looks and how that reflects the life it had.
This used to be a CBS broadcast division microphone and the lower bottom painting occurred during its time at the network, probably due to reflection issues or wanting to make it "invisible". It was then purchased in the 70s by one of the engineers there in a stock off CBS operation and this person sold it to me. I don't have much proof of this other than the elder gentleman's word, so it is what it is. To me, it was always an historical microphone and it became my favourite, but mortgages do exist, unfortunately.
