Seit seiner Gründung im Jahre 1992 durch Qian Ni hat sich Eastman Strings zur weltweit führenden Geigenbauwerkstatt entwickelt. Das hat auch gute Gründe. Die Arbeitsweise der Eastman-Geigenbauer entspricht nicht heutigen Industriestandarts, sondern den Abläufen der erfolgreichen Geigenbauer in ihrer Blütezeit: dem 18. Jahrhundert. Es finden sich außer Bandsägen keinerlei motorgetriebene Werkzeuge in den Werkstätten - alle Arbeiten, die von Hand gemacht werden können, werden von Hand gemacht. Nach dem gleichen Prinzip baute Eastman nach und nach die Fertigung von Archtop-Gitarren, Mandolinen, Thinline-Electrics und schließlich Flattop Steelstring-Gitarren aus.
In drei großen Werkstätten im Großraum Peking wird nicht nur auf authentische Verarbeitung, sondern auch auf Verwendung der richtigen Hölzer und Lacke geachtet.

The groundbreaking Göldo Les Trem tremolo system pairs with a Göldo3-Point Vario”moving” bridge, preventing the tremolo from touching the top (other than through the studs) for maximum articulation, sustain, and resonance. No matter how much you use the trem system, the Göldo K-line back locking tuners will ensure dead on tuning and fast re-stringing.
