A superb artist-quality viola from the workshop of John Walker, made near Birmingham in 1949.
It's come to us in excellent original condition showing highly figured wood plus golden-amber oil varnish of high quality.
Back length is 16 1/2 inches : 420 mm.
We highly recommend this particular instrument, suitable for the most demanding violist.

*** Violists might be interested in viewing a violin by this same maker, now offered by Terranova Violins of San Antonio. This shop appears to have high regard for the violins of Mr. Walker and so do we. ***
***** Please note also that we are often on the other side of the Atlantic and hand-to-hand delivery of some instruments is always possible. That means NO shipping costs, no chance of damage and sometimes a lower charge for VAT taxes.
