Anton Schaendl 4/4 full size violin 1830's

Violin labelled Anton Schaendl , made in Mittenwald . The label indicates 1800's but the last two numbers are unreadable. Schaendl was an early maker in the famous violin making town of Mittenwald, and I believe this is the work of Anton Jr around 1830. Notice the label -- interesting in that it looks as though a mite has eaten the label where there was no ink. It's a good sounding and good playing violin, has nice construction and excellent woods. Guessing it was likely refinished long ago -- it's a handsome amber oil finish that allows it to resonate nicely. There appears to be a very small chip of wood that was replaced on the scroll. String sounding length of 327mm (12 7/8"), and length of back is 365mm (14 3/8").
