This is a hand made pedal of New Old Stock, in absolute pristine condition. Number #363 in the production line. This model have just been re-issued but this is from the 1st series, the real deal. Here is what the man himself has to say about this pedal.
A hand-built analog overdrive and distortion unit designed to deliver a versatile range of tones from subtle warmth to aggressive rock gain.
The Drive-O-Matic was the first and most successful guitar stompbox created by DR. No Effects
The very first generation was originally licensed and built under Blendomatic (an earlier company owned by Dr. No) before transitioning into the Dr. No brand.
It started as a side project while the builder worked as a guitar roadie and tech for the Dutch rock band Peter Pan Speedrock for over a decade.
Peter van Elderen (frontman of Peter Pan Speedrock) needed a reliable distortion and booster pedal for lead gain, tried the first Drive-O-Matic, and adopted it immediately for live and studio use.
