Vintage Antonarra luthier Japan classical guitar
Handmade in the early 70s exclusively for an Austrian retailer "Guitar Neubauer"

As branded on the reverse of the headstock, which is like an embossed motif (not a sticker)

The guitar is newly set up with D'addario Pro-Arte EJ45s and has very low action 3.2mm on the 12th and the guitar plays incredibly.

Comes with new guitar bag and free  UK courier shipping

U.S postage is discounted and takes only 5 working days.

I have had some experience playing many MIJ classical guitars; Kimbara, Suzuki, Kasuga, Tarada, Tokai, Aria, Yairi etc and this guitar is one of the best players I have come across in many years and I have played 100s of classical guitars.

The top is laminate spruce but don't let that fool you, extremely sweet and balanced tone coming from an incredibly well made guitar, nice and light with a compact feel and fast smooth neck. Beautifully caved headstock showing moziac detail which matches the pattern on the bride.

Back and sides are a lovely dark red rosewood which is hard to picture but hopefully you can see in the Fourth image.

The nut is hand shaped bone (not plastic stock like mass produced guitars) I fitted a sliding saddle to adjust for different playing styles but will level that out nicely for you, I have set up experience as a classical guitar technician so you will be very happy with the set up, which is exceptional on this, I can't take all the credit! she was already sounding and playing great before I made a few minor adjustments.

You will not find much info on the maker, just a smart minimalistic label stating  "Antonarra luthier Japon" but you only have to play the guitar to know this is something special.

This guitar is my current main player alongside a 1976 Aria so not to be confused with lower end guitars coming from Japan.

This was made in Suzuki Factory but a high end model like a sub-line for a Austrian retailer. I have found another example bearing the complex SSSS - Insignia, a trademark of  Nagoya Suzuki

I have been playing guitar for 20 years and consider this model to be of high quality and of exceptional playabilty .

The guitar has plenty of tiny marks a in particular underneath the soundboard which do not picture very well but aside from that and a few surface/finish scratches on the back the condition is very good and not a single crack, or stand out damage. dead strait neck, no bridge lifting and the guitar is structurally sound and ready to play from the box after a tune up.

Very lovely and rare guitar and something you will be very happy to have purchaced.
