** IBANEZ Xiphos XPTB620 BKF Black Flat **NEW B-Stock model (New Strings & Full Setup by our Guitar Tech)B-Stock: tiny factory mark on the fretboard 4th (see last picture).Includes original Ibanez Premium gigbag, cardbox, and accessories. Some guitars seduce you with their looks first, then prove from the very first notes that they were designed with true engineering logic. This Ibanez Xiphos XPTB620 BKF does exactly that: behind its radical silhouette lies an extremely coherent, almost clinical design, where every technical choice serves one purpose — precision and controlled brutality.Ibanez didn't opt for active pickups, but rather a pair of DiMarzio D-Activators, and that choice is far from trivial. These passive humbuckers with ceramic magnets were designed to replicate the response of active pickups... without the drawbacks. The result is impressive: high output, ultra-sharp attack, and above all, exceptional definition even under extreme gain. The lows stay tight, never muddy; the mids are punchy enough to cut through the mix, and the highs maintain surgical precision without becoming harsh. This is exactly the type of pickup that excels in fast palm muting, staccato riffs, and complex, heavily saturated chords. The configuration remains intentionally minimalist — volume, tone, 3-way switch — but it’s fully intentional. We are in a "plug and destroy" mindset here, where the goal is to immediately get a usable, powerful, and clear sound. The construction plays a massive role in the sonic character. The 5-piece maple/walnut neck-through design provides remarkable sustain and exemplary stability, especially in lower tunings. Combined with an okoume body, you get a very interesting balance between warmth and attack: the wood slightly softens the sharp edge of the pickups while maintaining excellent projection. The Wizard III profile lives up to Ibanez’s reputation: thin, fast, and almost "flat," clearly favoring technical and high-speed playing. With 24 jumbo frets and an ebony fingerboard, the feel under the fingers is direct, precise, and crisp — perfect for articulate and demanding playing.Another key element: the Edge-Zero II tremolo. This double-locking bridge is designed for stability under extreme conditions. Once properly set up, it holds tuning exceptionally well, even with aggressive playing or frequent dive bombs. Coupled with the locking nut and Gotoh tuners, the entire setup inspires confidence for uncompromising stage use.Ultimately, the XPTB620 BKF isn’t just a Xiphos with an aggressive look. It is an extremely well-thought-out sonic platform, capable of rivaling active setups while retaining the dynamics and nuance of a passive system. A demanding guitar, but fearsomely effective the moment you push it into its natural playground.Specifications: Iron Label SeriesSerial Number: I250812649Weight: 3,450 kgBody: OkoumeNeck: 5-piece Maple/Walnut (Neck-through)Fingerboard: EbonyNeck Profile: Wizard IIIThickness: 19mm at 1st fret / 21mm at 12th fretRadius: 400mmScale Length: 648mm (25.5")Nut Width: 43mmNut Type: Locking nutFrets: 24 JumboPickups: 2x DiMarzio D-Activator HumbuckersControls: 1 Volume, 1 Tone, 3-way toggle switchBridge: Edge-Zero II TremoloTuners: GotohHardware: BlackStrings: D’Addario XL140 (.010-.052)Factory Tuning: 1D, 2A, 3F, 4C, 5G, 6D (D Standard)
