Up for sale is a beautiful 20" Istanbul Ride, weighing 2139 grams.
This cymbal dates from the early Istanbul era and delivers the classic Pre-Split sound that has made these cymbals so sought after.
Featuring the characteristic semi-flat bell and a weight of 2139 grams, this ride offers an excellent balance of stick definition, wash, and control. Its sound is remarkably reminiscent of the legendary Old K Zildjian New Stamp rides—warm, dark, and full of rich overtones, yet never overly complex or washy. It is a little dryish and not loud. It has a broad tonal palette with plenty of musical character, making it equally at home in jazz, blues, funk, pop, and acoustic settings. A cymbal that is easily controlled.
