This is an original "Ibanez TS9," an early model equipped with the JRC2043DD op-amp!

Featuring the early die-cast case and black label, this model is equipped with the JRC2043DD (glossy finish) op-amp, which was only available in the early production run. It delivers exquisitely rich harmonics and a pleasing compression without distorting the original tone. The tight midrange range, rich harmonics, exquisite compression, and effective tone control truly justify its reputation as a legendary instrument. It's the overseas export version of the "Maxon OD-9," with the same basic specifications. While the JRC4558D (glossy finish) version is relatively more popular, this one has a slightly cleaner sound in a good way, giving it a very refined and sophisticated feel that appeals to connoisseurs. Even if you've only tried the JRC4558D, we highly recommend giving this version a try.
