Original early 1980s Fender Japan '62 Reissue Stratocaster neck -- this is a dead straight, slim fast-playing vintage neck with some life left in the frets and a great vintage vibe. As you probably know the Japan reissue Strats from the 1980s period were as good as the USA ones -- they have a great reputation and these early ones are highly sought after. The fretboard is in unusually good shape for a nearly 40 year old neck; very clean. The frets have a fair amount of wear but should be perfectly playable as is. Truss rod works. There's no serial number, but it's easily identifiable as early 80s by the metal tilt plate insert in the heel. Very likely an early JV reissue because those had the serial numbers on their neckplates. Only issues are it had a trem/nut lock at one point and there are the usual small holes left behind... and someone must have put thicker neck screws in at some time and created some cracking at the heel... see closeups. The cracks are mostly surface but one goes through to just under the fretboard, see back and side views, shouldn't be anything that affects mounting or playability. Price reflects this. In all other respects and general playability, it's a really nice neck! And an affordable JV era reissue. Please see my other listings for more vintage guitar items.
