The Stage 4 88 sets a bold new standard for performance keyboards, combining three independent sound engines — Piano, Synth, and Organ — with a dedicated Effect section for each layer. Handbuilt in Stockholm, Sweden, it is the instrument of choice for the world's most demanding professional keyboard players.

• 88-Key Triple Sensor Hammer Action Keybed The Nord Stage 4 88 features an 88-key Triple Sensor Hammer Action (medium weight) keyboard with Aftertouch, spanning the full range of A to C. The fully weighted 88-key triple-sensor keybed offers authentic acoustic piano feel with superb touch response and nuanced articulation across the full range.
• Piano Section The Piano section offers 2 GB of memory with an enhanced collection of Grand and Upright pianos, Electric Pianos, and Clavinet/Harpsichord sounds, featuring Advanced String Resonance and Dynamic Pedal Noise effects. New additions include Dynamic Compression, a Unison feature, and Creative Timbre presets for additional tonal shaping.
• Nord Wave 2 Synth Engine The Synth section is built around the powerful Nord Wave 2 Engine — combining Virtual Analog, FM, Wavetable synthesis, and 1 GB of sample playback across three independent layers, complete with an advanced Arpeggiator. Oscillator types include Analog (Super, Noise, Misc), Digital Waves, FM, and Sample, with a Transistor Ladder Filter and 12 & 24 dB LP/HP/BP configurations. The Arpeggiator now features new Polyphonic, Gate, and Pattern modes.
• Organ Section The Organ section delivers award-winning simulations of the B3 Tonewheel, B3 Bass, Vox Continental, Farfisa, and two Pipe Organ models, all controlled via physical drawbars with LED indicators. New additions include a B3 Bass mode and Model 122 Vintage Rotary Speaker modeling with standard and close microphone positions.
• Complete Per-Layer Effects Section Each layer features dedicated effects including new variations for Modulation, Amp, Delay, and Reverb effects; new Spring, Booth, and Cathedral Reverbs; a new Spin effect; a new Pump effect for side-chain simulation; and new Flam and Space Delay.
• Layer Scene & Preset Library The Layer Scene lets you seamlessly switch between two different sound setups at the touch of a button. The Preset Library includes Organ, Piano, and Synth presets with effects — 2×64 Organ preset locations, 2×64 Piano preset locations, and 8×64 Synth preset locations — across 512 Programs organized into 8 Banks with 8 Pages each.
• New Panel Design with LED Faders & Physical Drawbars The user interface has been remodelled so that users now find a volume fader for every layer, as well as sensitive physical drawbars in the organ section. The LED drawbars allow all important parameters to be read at a glance, even on the darkest stages.
