Gibson ES-125T, hollow body guitar from 1958. This is a true classic from a legendary year and the golden era of the historic Kalamazoo factory.
A vintage instrument with a unique configuration and stunning look can give you a lot of joy in everyday playing, but it can also be a great investment and a beautiful piece for any collection. For the price of a modern regular guitar of this type, you can own something almost antique with legendary status.
The 1950s are considered the most valuable period in Gibson history. During those years, the company created its most iconic models, which today are worth a fortune. Gibsonās modern marketing is still strongly based on the legacy and historical accuracy of that era. There are many excellent reissues, but an original vintage instrument is always in a league of its own.
The ES-125 came in many different versions. This particular guitar features a single
P-90 pickup and a traditional wooden jazz bridge. It works great in many musical styles, especially jazz, blues, retro pop-rock, and modern alternative music.
The guitar is in very good overall condition for its age. It has beautiful natural relic wear, including subtle lacquer checking, aged hardware, and normal signs of use. Instruments with this kind of authentic aging are impossible to truly recreate in a factory.
Technically, despite its age and old-school construction, this is not just a display piece. It is a fully playable instrument for anyone who loves vintage style, and it can also be used on stage without problems. The electronics work properly, the truss rod functions correctly, and the frets are in very good condition with no need for repair. The pickup was replaced with a vintage style boutique one from Q Pickups, based on the original design.
The guitar is extremely lightweight, only 2.38 kg.
Included is the old hard case shown in the photos.
