A professional acoustic guitar from the American brand Larrivee (Canadian luthier Jean Larrivee manufactured guitars in Canada until 2013 and in the U.S. since 2001—this instrument comes from the new factory).
The guitar was manufactured in 2010, as confirmed on the manufacturer’s website. The body shape is the original Larrivee design.
Detailed specifications are available on the manufacturer’s website.
Key features include a solid Sitka spruce top, a solid Indian rosewood body, a mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a bone nut and saddle.
The guitar has slight signs of wear on the frets and a crack in the top professionally repaired by a luthier (a common occurrence due to humidity changes)—the finish is so well applied that it’s imperceptible to the touch, and you have to look closely to find the spot. A high-quality instrument with a great sound. Comes with the original Larrivee case.
The guitar is equipped with non-invasive electronics from the renowned American manufacturer L.R. Baggs, specifically the Element Active System model. A thin, flat Element under-saddle transducer is mounted in the bridge; the preamp is integrated into the strap button; the 9V battery is housed in a fabric pocket attached to the backplate; and the only control is a miniature volume potentiometer attached to the edge of the soundhole.
