The Elektronika EM-26 is a rare, vintage vocoder produced in the Soviet Union during the 1980s. Often referred to as a "cult classic" among synth enthusiasts, it is prized for its gritty, lo-fi character and unique Eastern Bloc aesthetic.
Key Characteristics
* Sonic Identity: Unlike the polished, "crystalline" sound of Western vocoders from the same era (like the Roland VP-330), the EM-26 is known for a darker, warmer, and more aggressive tone.
* Design: It features a rugged, industrial metal chassis with distinctive Soviet-era knobs and Cyrillic labeling.
* The "Polyphony" Trick: While it’s primarily a processor, it includes an internal string-synth-style generator that provides the "carrier" signal, allowing you to create choir-like vocal effects without needing an external synthesizer.
Cosmetic condition is very good. Refer to the photos.
Two white keys are not working. It does not effect vocoder at all and makes internal synth usage a bit harder. The rest of the functions is in totally good working condition.
Comes in original fake leather bag.
