Fine Old 18th C. Circa Violin w/Appraisal
This Beautiful instrument just came in on consignment. I’m told this was the primary violin of Concertmaster Stefan Petrescu touring Russia with it playing this violin for about 8 years. Upon receiving this information my research indicates he was decades long Concertmaster for the Tennessee Philharmonic and also the Baltic Sea Orchestra receiving many awards as Violinist. The Violin features a label of “Tomaso Eberle Napoli 1774.” It comes with an Appraisal from 2013 for $33,500. See attached photo with watermark. I do not have verification of it being an EBERLE, other than an Appraisal of value. I personally believe it’s a high dollar violin of another master. The violin project very well. It has a deep G and up the neck on the E is very clear in articulation. A warm seasoned tone. The violin is an amber color on a golden ground. It has been played a lot as you can tell. It has grafts under the bridge, I see no Soundpost crack to the back, heel repair, some repaired cracks; to be expect on something this ancient. Features a Grafted scroll. Sold as is. Ships in a case. All sales final.
