I’m selling my Akai Advance 25. It was my main controller for MIDI stuff in live setups for quite a while, but I’ve since switched to something else.
It offers quite a lot for such a small device:
* Can be powered either via USB or power supply
* Full-size keys with velocity and channel aftertouch
* MIDI In and Out
* Expression and sustain pedal inputs
* 8 programmable endless rotary knobs and 8 programmable buttons
* 8 programmable, velocity- and aftertouch-sensitive RGB pads with four switchable banks
* Mod wheel and pitch wheel
* Arpeggiator and note repeat functions
* Integration via the Virtual Instrument Player software
To be honest, I’ve been using it without the VIP software lately. It mainly served as a central hub where my other devices (e-drums, controllers) were connected.
It once had a broken USB port, which I replaced. The new one is white, but apart from that you won’t notice the repair — it works perfectly. The device has a few scratches from age, of course.
I don’t have a power supply for it because the keyboard has always worked very reliably via USB (except for the time when the port was broken). I can get or look up a suitable one on request, but in my opinion it’s unnecessary. I’ll include a USB cable. I’ll also transfer the software licenses after purchase.
