This is an all original Paul Stanley endorsed Gibson Marauder Custom from 1975, in great condition with a beautiful tobacco burst. There’s a Nov 18 1975 stamp in the cavity. The pots are 1975 and solders look clean and untouched. The Frets looks great. The guitar has just minor nicks and dings, nothing major. The neck is slim and fast. It plays great, sounds amazing and rests securely in its original Gibson "Chainsaw" case.

The Marauder is a real Norlin-era oddity and was in the day heavily endorsed by Kiss front man/guitarist Paul Stanley. All promo material featured him holding the tobacco sunburst Marauder Custom and while the simpler appointed standard model sold in fairly large numbers, the custom remained a rare sight indeed with, according to some experts, as little as 83 built.

This model has a cool combination of Bill Lawrence pickups, hear how they sound in the enclosed video. The neck humbucker is encased in a transparent plastic cover. The bridge pickup might look like a little Stratocaster bridge pickup-ish but is actually a humbucker comprising of two narrower than standard bobbins side by side. It sounds clear and defined, definitely more Stratlike than Gibsonlike.
