Don Grosh Retro Classic with a very rare Brazilian rosewood slab fingerboard, similar to the type used on high-end vintage Fender and Gibson guitars from the early 1960s.

The guitar is in very good condition, with minor signs of use. The frets show some visible wear, but still have plenty of life left. There have been no modifications to the wood, everything works perfectly, it stays well in tune, sounds incredible and feels very easy to play.

This is an exceptionally resonant instrument — likely due to Don Grosh’s choice of seasoned wood, his attention to the neck-to-body fit, and the traditional vintage-style single-action truss rod. The finish is a beautiful sunburst with a transparent centre. I believe it may be a thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish, but I cannot confirm this with certainty.

The guitar has a very open, lively and touch-sensitive sound, with excellent note separation and a strong vintage Strat character. Build quality is easily in the same league as high-end Fender Custom Shop, Suhr or Tyler instruments.
