I am offering a Gibson Les Paul Robot – 1st Generation, made in 2006 in the USA. This is an original Robot Guitar Gen 1, Gibson’s first and pioneering attempt at automated tuning, released before the Dark Fire, Dusk Tiger and later G-Force systems.

This instrument is a true Les Paul at its core, equipped with the factory-installed Gibson Robot Tuning System (Gen 1), controlled via the multifunction knob. The guitar retains the classic Les Paul feel and tone — the tuning system is an addition and does not negatively affect resonance or fundamental sound.

The body is mahogany, fitted with a traditional Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. The neck is mahogany, set-in construction, with a rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays. The neck profile is comfortable and closer to a traditional Gibson feel rather than a slim modern profile.

Pickups are the factory-correct Gibson 490R / 498T set, as used in Robot Gen 1 models:

• 490R (neck, Alnico II) – warm, mid-focused, ideal for blues and classic rock
• 498T (bridge, Alnico V) – higher output with a more aggressive character, excellent under gain

This is the historically correct pickup configuration for the first-generation Gibson Robot.

The guitar is in very good condition for its age, showing only normal signs of use. No breaks, no cracks, no structural repairs or modifications. Electronics work properly.

The sale includes the guitar only — no original case and no additional Robot accessories (charger, manuals, etc. are not included). The Robot tuning system itself is installed and complete in the instrument.
