Nord Stage 4 Compact is a 73-key stage keyboard featuring a semi-weighted waterfall triple-sensor keybed with aftertouch. It integrates three sound engines: piano, organ, and synth, each with dedicated controls and effects sections. The redesigned panel includes physical drawbars with LED indicators and OLED displays for clear parameter visualization.

The piano section offers 2 GB of memory for Nord Piano Library samples, supporting features like dynamic compression, unison mode, advanced string resonance, and dynamic pedal noise. The organ section includes simulations of B3 Tonewheel, Vox, Farfisa, and pipe organs, enhanced rotary speaker drive, and a new B3 Bass mode.

The synth section is powered by the Nord Wave 2 engine, providing virtual analog, FM, wavetable, and sample-based synthesis across three layers. It includes an advanced arpeggiator with polyphonic, gate, and pattern modes, and 1 GB of memory for the Nord Sample Library.

Each layer has its own dedicated effects section, including modulation, delay, reverb, amp simulation, EQ, and new additions like the Pump effect for sidechain simulation and the Spin effect. The interface supports up to three split points with visual LED indicators and crossfade options.
