Elektron Octatrack MKII (Black) is an 8-track performance sampler and sequencer designed for dynamic audio manipulation and live performance. It features real-time time-stretching and pitch-shifting, allowing for flexible sample playback. The device includes a contactless crossfader for smooth transitions between parameter scenes, enhancing live performance capabilities.

Each of the eight audio tracks can host two insert effects, with options such as multimode filters, parametric EQs, phasers, flangers, delays, and reverbs. The sequencer supports parameter locks, trig conditions, micro-timing adjustments, and sample-per-step changes, providing detailed control over sequences. Additionally, the Octatrack MKII offers eight dedicated MIDI tracks for controlling external gear.

The unit is equipped with a crisp OLED display, high-resolution encoders, and durable backlit buttons rated for 50 million presses. It supports stereo sampling via four balanced/unbalanced inputs and outputs audio through main, cue, and headphone outputs. Samples are stored on a CompactFlash card, with 80 MB of RAM available for real-time sample manipulation.
