On sale no longer in production collaboration of MXR with small pedal builder - Carlo Sorasio - that was released at the same year with Mxr-Sorasio Il Diavolo . Later Mxr created a similar product - Gran Torino - but it was also discontinued in 2026 .
According to Reverb : The MXR Custom Shop Il Torino Overdrive pedal is a combination boost & overdrive that emulates the sound of classic tube amps. This MOSFET workhorse was designed by one of Italy's top amp and pedal designers, Carlo Sorasio, and delivers remarkably responsive drive tones. A 3-band EQ at the top of the pedal lets you further shape your sound while the gain and master controls will have you tweaking different gain-staging possibilities to your heart's content.
