Catalinbread has a bit of a tick for exotic echo and reverb units such as the Binson Echorec or the EMT plate reverb. The latest addition is the Adineko - a simulation of the strangest Delays of all time - the so-called Oil Can Delay. The core of this Delay type is an oil drum in which a pick up is fitted and filled with an electrostatic oil. A small motor moves this drum, and the oil moves, causing a change of the magnetic field. The input signal is reproduced delayed. In an original vintage Oil Can Delay short delay times are possible - but with a trashy, cool lo-fi sound, ideal for slap back effects. The Catalinbread Adineko Delay mimics this sound deceptively real. The delay time has been extended considerably in comparison with the model, with which very dense, atmospheric echo sounds can be generated. The slightly different delay for vintage enthusiasts.
