Description:
Sound Haze is a handmade germanium fuzz inspired by the classic Fuzz Face circuit, built by hand in Spain by Amber Sound FX.
The heart of the pedal is a matched pair of germanium transistors: a vintage AC128 and a Russian MP38. Pairing them carefully gives you that warm, woolly, touch-sensitive fuzz that cleans up when you roll back your guitar's volume, and sings when you push it.
Controls
Volume: overall output level
Fuzz: from a gentle crunch to full saturation
Bias: tunes the transistors' operating point, from smooth and singing to gated and spitty. It's also handy for dialing in the sound as temperature changes, which germanium is known for.
