The Dr. No Effects Madfly Vintage Fuzz was originally released in 2006. When it first launched, the pedal was labeled as a "Heavy Distortion" and ran until 2012. Because the circuit is technically a fuzz rather than a distortion, Dr. No Effects later re-released the exact same circuit under the "Vintage Fuzz" name. So here we have #78 from 2013, from the first run of the renamed Vintage Fuzz line. Later on a limited run of new builds for this re-labeled version officially started in February 2019. So this model have been re-issued but this is the real deal. Here is what the man himself has to say about this pedal.

“The Madfly”! The second stompbox I made and again a heavy duty son of a-you-know-who! Think old Black Sabbath, think Kyuss, think Fu Manchu and you will be thinking in the right direction. The “Madfly” will give you all the low-end fuzz/distortion you could ever wish for! Whether it is outright Doom Metal or a more subtle Stoner sound you are looking for, look no further; “Mad Fly” has landed!
