The sound engine features a large-capacity wave ROM and slots for up to four additional SRX expansion boards. It also includes a powerful sampling system that comes with 32 MB of wave memory as standard, expandable up to a maximum of 288 MB. Advanced sampling capabilities include "Skip-Back Sampling" (patent pending)—which allows you to capture audio that has just been played—resampling (for combining completed phrases or song data into a single element for performance), and real-time time-stretching for immediate use of sampled material. Additionally, it is equipped with a 16-track sequencer that utilizes a large graphic display for rapid data entry and editing.
