For sale is my 2022 Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue R9 – Beauty of the Burst Page 53, finished in Lemon Drop Gloss and made as a Guitar Center Exclusive.

I am the first and only owner. The guitar was bought new and has been kept as part of my private collection. It has seen virtually no playing and remains in exceptional, near-new / shop condition.

At only 3.83 kg / 8.44 lbs, it is an unusually light and lively example for a solid, non-weight-relieved R9.

The Beauty of the ’Burst book by Yasuhiko Iwanade is one of the best-known reference books dedicated to original 1958–1960 Gibson Les Paul Standards, documenting many legendary Bursts in detail through photography and specifications. This guitar was created as a Page 53-inspired run, recreating the visual character and Lemon Drop aesthetic of the instrument featured on that page.

This particular example has a beautifully figured maple top with plenty of depth and movement, while still retaining the more organic and slightly irregular look associated with original late-’50s Bursts rather than an overly symmetrical modern show top.

The guitar is 100% original, with no modifications, repairs or replaced parts.
