I’m offering a Magnatone Super Fifteen Mardi Gras from 2021, a handwired in St. Louis, Missouri (USA), limited-edition tube combo amp from the renowned boutique amp manufacturer Magnatone in the Mardi Gras Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) special edition with (powerful!) 15 watts of output power, 3x 12AX7 preamp tubes, 2x EL84 power tubes, Magnatone Custom 12" ceramic magnet speaker, one channel with two inputs (High & Low Gain), 3-band EQ including Presence and Gain controls, effects loop, and practical headphone output with speaker simulation, all in a stunning design featuring purple and gold vinyl covering and apple-green fabric covering, in excellent collector’s condition, including dust cover and manufacturer’s paperwork (including C.o.A.).

Magnatone is one of the most storied American amplifier manufacturers of all time. As early as the 1950s and 1960s, the brand achieved cult status thanks to its exceptional sound quality and innovative amplifier designs. Following the brand’s revival, Magnatone once again established itself as a mainstay in the boutique segment and today enjoys an outstanding reputation among professional musicians, studios, and collectors worldwide. Artists such as Billy Gibbons, Jeff Beck, Neil Young, Slash, and Joe Bonamassa appreciate the unmistakable character of these amplifiers.

The Super Fifteen is considered one of the most versatile and popular amplifiers in the current Magnatone lineup; with its classic American-style basic tone, it combines warm, three-dimensional clean tones with an extremely musical overdrive response. The amp is in excellent, extremely well-maintained collector’s condition and functions flawlessly. It has very low usage (only a few hours total), and visually, there is only occasionally finest superficial wear (see photos).
