I’m considering selling my dream kit, simply because I own too many drums.
I imported this kit from the USA in 2014, and it has been one of the highlights of my collection ever since.
Configuration: 22” x 14” bass drum, 13 x 9” tom, and 16 x 16” floor tom. It has that unmistakable vintage Gretsch sound that so many players are looking for.
The previous owner told me the drums date from 1961.
The bass drum sustained a small shipping ding during transport from the USA. I never repaired it, as it has never affected the sound or playability in any way. The bass drum is also a slightly darker shade than the toms, suggesting it was likely not originally part of the same set.
A wonderful vintage Gretsch kit with incredible tone and plenty of character.
