Potentiometer: 1973

Transistor: FS36999

This is a Big Muff from the "Ram's Head" era (manufactured between 1973 and 1974).

It is equipped with Fairchild FS36999 transistors.

While various transistors were used depending on the production year, the FS36999 is considered highly desirable and valuable.

I have previously owned a unit with 2N5088 transistors, but I find that the FS36999 version offers a more "usable" sound—the tone doesn't get buried or recessed to an extreme degree.

I collected a wide range of vintage effects pedals, but I am listing this one for sale because I rarely use pedals these days. (The biggest drawback for me—especially with Ram's Head models—was that they could only be powered by a battery unless modified.)

The unit functions perfectly and sounds amazing, but please understand that it is a vintage item and is being sold "as-is."

Returns are not accepted due to the risk of parts swapping or unauthorized modifications.

It will be shipped within the scheduled timeframe.
