The Model 4003S is based on the 4001S bass, made famous by icons such as Paul McCartney and Chris Squire. Unlike the Model 4003, it features no body or fretboard binding, softer body contours, and dot fretboard inlays. Additionally, the 4003S comes with standard Rickenbacker circuitry and a mono output.
