Ovation / Manufactured around 1977-1978 1627-4 GLEN CAMPBELL

In the late 1960s, Glen Campbell enjoyed overwhelming popularity in the American country music scene. This model, designed for him, was born as Ovation's first signature model, and became a model that pursued what a truly reliable instrument for professionals should be.

The top wood is made of carefully selected spruce. It responds sensitively to even the most delicate picking, producing a bright and clear sound image.
And its most distinctive feature is the sides and back—a shallow bowl structure using Ovation's uniquely developed synthetic material, "Lyrachord."
This design maintains rich mid-low frequencies while achieving unparalleled durability and tonal uniformity not found in conventional acoustic guitars.
It is highly resistant to changes in humidity and temperature, making it a "battle-ready" instrument for touring musicians traveling across the country.

The built-in piezo pickup and electronics truly shine on stage and in recording studios.

While being acoustic, it produces a sound with a clear outline. It doesn't get lost in an ensemble, yet it has a softness that doesn't pierce the ear.

It truly embodies the Ovation sound, synonymous with a "guitar strong in live performances," and possesses a powerful ability to project its sound forward.

The neck is constructed with a 5-piece mahogany and maple structure for increased rigidity, and the fingerboard is made of ebony.

Combining high playability with clear sustain, it faithfully responds to the player's intentions, from chord strumming to delicate fingerpicking.

Its structure doesn't hinder the player's expression; everything is designed with a "musician-first" philosophy.

You'll feel your sound reaching its target more directly than ever before.

The exhilarating feeling of your sound taking a step forward in the band.

Like Glen Campbell, the guitar chosen by someone who truly believed in "their own music" continues to support its essence, unchanged even today.

If you're currently looking for a "truly reliable live guitar."

If you're looking for a guitar with a unique look and sound that you can use for a long time.

Or, if you're still searching for "your own unique sound" that no one else has yet achieved, then the Ovation Glen Campbell will answer all your questions.
