In 1985, KORG's DW-8000 combined digital wavetables with rich analog filters to achieve sounds impossible with analog oscillators. This is why it remains popular among some enthusiasts even today.
The modwave builds upon the legacy of the DW series, transforming it into a modern monster synth.
It features incredibly deep wavetable oscillators, luxurious filters, wild and flexible modulation, unparalleled polyphony, a comprehensive pattern sequencer, and an instantly intuitive interface.

The modwave mkII delivers an astonishing 60-voice polyphony—roughly double the original modwave's 32 voices. This is unprecedented for a wavetable synth in any price range. Responding to user requests, we've also added free-run, delayed start, and retrigger options for all LFOs.A pre/post switch for reverb send and new modulation sources have also been added.
