The CS-5 is a 37-key analog synthesizer. It is the standard monophonic model in the CS series, featuring 1 VCO, 1 VCF, 1 VCA, and 1 EG. Its compact body houses all the essential functions of a synthesizer.
Designed with beginner-friendly operability in mind, it serves as the entry-level model in the CS series. The LFO waveforms now include a S/H (Sample and Hold) function. For example, when applied to the VCO, it enables continuous automatic playback of random pitches. Furthermore, the VCA now features an EG Depth knob and an Initial Level knob, significantly expanding the control range achievable with the EG. It is also ideal as a compact second keyboard.This personal-type sound gear can be used in various ways to suit the player's individuality.

The tilted control panel design ensures easy operation. Despite its compact and charming design, it delivers the rich, distinctive YAMAHA sound.
