A very rare and collectible bow made by one of the masters of English bow making- Roy Collins.

The bow must have been made especially for a particular pupil, however who that person was I have been unable to trace.

The bow is 1/4 size, pernambuco and with a D shaped stick (like vigneron) with a bone tip face. It has a very crisp sound and would really be something special for a young student or for a collector that wants a unique part of bow making history. Similarly its size does lend itself to be considered for viol playing.

This has had a complete refurbishment with new hair.

555mm total stick length excluding screw making it 1/4 size, 76 grams, nickel ferrule, ebony frog, bone face.
