Refinished by Jacobacci in the 80s, its owner would have taken a lighter out of his pocket to show the desired color. This tone between gray and green is reminiscent of the back and sides of the Gretsch two-tone smoke green of the 60s. My instinct tells me that this is not a coincidence. This model is in excellent condition. At the top of the Gretsch line with the White Falcon, the Viking has features in common with it such as the floating tuning fork bridge or the fanned frets on the end of the fingerboard. The refinishing is truly excellent, Jacobacci’s talent is well known and if it weren’t for a few paint projection inside the body, it could easily pass for a custom color. The guitar is in perfect playing condition and is equipped with 2 original Supertrons pickups. A real Rolls Royce, supplied in its original hardshell case. Note also the impressive condition of the case, often a very good indicator of the attention that has been paid to the instrument.
