The Altar Ancient Overdrive
The Altar is a dual stage hybrid Germanium/Mosfet overdrive.

The altar is raw, loose, and a little hairy. It offers a range of gritty true overdrive and naturally produced fuzztones when pushing a tube amp

Both knobs control the overall output. There is a range of sustain, tone and responsiveness at different settings and the knobs are very interactive.

The Altar is not a clean or transparent overdrive... it is an overdrive from another age, a familiar but distant past... an overdrive for time travel.

Controls

Jacks. In on the right , out on the left.
Left Knob.  Generally the amount of treble and overall output.
Right Knob. Generally the amount of bass and overall output.

Our Favorite Settings
Using clock number placements and FCW & FCCW (Full Clockwise, Full Counter Clockwise respectively )
Acid Daydream: L-Noon, R-Noon
Dino Bones: L-9, R-FCW
Paper Cutter: L-FCW, R-9

Amp Sacrifice: L-FCW, R-FCW

There is a lot of boosting power in The Altar, and diming the knobs is fun (and my favorite way to use it), but there is a chance you could smoke your tubes... man.

All our pedals are hand made here in Maine. Each box is hand stamped and drilled and the pedal you receive may differ slightly from the one pictured.

Industry standard 9vlt jack, no wall wart included, no battery option.
