To honour the 50th anniversary of their collaboration, Mayer designed the Visage Fuzz.

Roger Mayer met Hendrix in 1967 and went on to look after his gear: gaining a unique understanding of his requirements, playing style and working methods.

In trying to achieve the sounds Hendrix was searching for, Mayer would often alter circuits in between takes in the studio.
