This 2023 Martin OM28 combines the refined voice of an orchestra model with the rich sound of East Indian rosewood. Under a solid Sitka spruce top, the rosewood back and sides give it a deep, complex tone that is beautifully balanced across the strings. That makes it a superb guitar for fingerstyle playing, while it also responds well to a lighter strum.

Martin introduced the Orchestra Model in 1929 at the request of banjo player Perry Bechtel, who wanted a guitar with more frets clear of the body. In 2018 Martin reimagined its Standard Series, giving models such as the OM28 details inspired by its Golden Era along with a more comfortable neck.

The East Indian rosewood back and sides give the OM28 a rich bass and sparkling trebles, while the Sitka spruce top keeps every note clear and defined. Scalloped X bracing in the style of Martin's Golden Era lets the top move freely for extra resonance. The neck combines a modified low oval profile with the High Performance Taper, so it plays comfortably all the way up the ebony fingerboard. Style 28 trim, abalone inlays and open gear tuners give it a classic, timeless look.

This 2023 OM28 is in excellent condition. It has clearly been played and shows quite a bit of buckle wear on the back, along with a few noticeable dings on the top. The neck has also started to gloss slightly, which is completely normal with use. Apart from that, it still looks clean. A K&K Pure Mini pickup has already been installed, so the guitar is ready to plug in. It comes with a hardshell case and a TFOA Passport.

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
