Up for sale a beautiful and very well preserved 1974 Fender Mustang in original Black finish, in excellent condition and in full working order.
This is a particularly rare example of a mid 70s black Mustang. The uncommon black finish, combined with a dark rosewood fretboard and figured maple neck gives this Mustang a very distinctive presence. It looks as good as it sounds.
The guitar is all original, with two exceptions: the original pickguard has been replaced and the tone potentiometer has also been replaced with a high-quality pot for better reliability, while retaining the guitar's original tone capacitor. The original Fender tone potentiometer, dated to 1974, is included with the guitar. Everything else remains original, including the two 1974 Fender pickups, volume pot, switches, bridge and tuners.
The instrument has just undergone a complete setup and is ready to play. The neck is straight, the truss rod works correctly, and the original frets still have plenty of life left. It plays beautifully all the way up and down the fretboard, with no buzzing or unwanted noise.
The neck has a quite slim C profile, but without being too thin. The rosewood fingerboard is nice and dark, while the maple neck has a beautiful natural figuring.
This Mustang comes with its original Fender documentation and Mustang owner's manual. A Fender strap is also included with the guitar. The vibrato arm is not included.
The guitar comes with the vintage case shown in photos, consistent with the type of case these guitars were originally sold with in Italy in the 70s.
Weitght: approximately 3,4kg.
