Gibson ES-165 Herb Ellis – Excellent Condition – Jazz Tone Perfection
This 2003 Gibson ES-165 Herb Ellis is a rare, all-original example of Gibson’s tribute to the legendary jazz guitarist. In excellent condition with minimal wear, this guitar delivers the rich, warm, and articulate tone that defined Herb Ellis’s sound.
Serial number 02823706: consistent with a model made on the 282nd day of 2003 in Memphis, TN.
The body is a maple body (hollow !) with a single cutaway. Hardware: tune-o-matic bridge, gold hardware, trapeze tailpiece, rosewood fingerboard with parallelogram fingerboard position markers on a mahogany neck, 20 fret. Body has beautiful light sunburst finish. Volume control on the raised pickguard.
Comes in OHSC, aligator skin.
