Acid Leak is not trying to be transparent.
It is a raw transistor bass distortion built for synth-like grit, low-end weight and ugly-beautiful riffs.

This pedal was designed by a bass player, for a very specific need: a distortion circuit that keeps the low end alive, feels aggressive and synth-like, and does not behave like another generic overdrive. After building and refining the original unit for my own use, I made a small handmade batch.

Acid Leak is focused on one particular sound rather than trying to cover everything. It can be tweaked with the Drive, Tone, Wet and Master controls, plus a Dry switch, but its core character is always raw, transistor-based, and built to distort the low end instead of filtering it away.

The circuit uses true bypass switching, so when the effect is off, your signal goes straight through.

Each unit is built in an aluminium enclosure, hand-painted and assembled by me. Because these are handmade pedals, there may be small visual nuances and imperfections. This particular unit has a minor cosmetic detail: the “Dry” label is slightly misplaced. It does not affect the sound or operation in any way, but I prefer to mention it clearly.
