This is a fully original and vintage classic Neumann: the U87, confirmed by Neumann to be from 1971 (not ai!). Includes original leather case with matching serial number in great condition. Don't wait on this :)

It's a classic xlr phantom powered mic with low-cut switch and a -10 dB pad. It features three polar patterns: Cardioid, figure-of-eight and omni, easily selectable from the front. And all switches work like they should.

This microphone is extensively tested. It sounds fantastic on just about anything you throw at it, just like a real U87 should. The original K87 gold diaphragm is in very good condition with no damage whatsoever. There are some dust particles on the diaphragm but they have no effect on the sound.
The grille and body are in great condition.

The dB-pad switch is missing its little plastic stick with which you can operate it. It still works but you need a pointy thing. I never use it though so in my opinion there's no problem here. If you wanted, you can switch it out for a new component.

This vintage version is preferred above the newer ai versions. It has serial# 18701 which is from 1971.
This lot contains not only this fantastic microphone but you also get the original leather case with matching serial number which is in great condition!
